Hello there! If you’ve been looking at pinterest lately and have any interest in distressing wood, you have probably heard of the apple cider vinegar and steel wool technique… Well, if you haven’t tried it yet, let me tell you… IT WORKS!
All you need is:
..any kind of wood (even brand new)..
..steel wool..
..apple cider vinegar..
1) Pour a cup or so of apple cider vinegar into a bowl
2) Place a piece of steel wool in the vinegar (let it soak up the liquid)
3) Rub the wool over the wood evenly
4) Let the wood dry!
I tried it for a little project and here are my results! Pretty cool and so easy! Gotta love science!

What kind of steel wool did you use? My grocery only had the kind with soap in it. Will this make a difference?
Hello! Mine was just regular grade 1 (I think) steel wool, no soap. The soap might interact with the vinegar, so with out soap would be best I think.
